Chi is universal energy. It's the energy that permeates everything around us. Chi needs to keep flowing and moving. Stuck energy is not good for your body or your home. Just like we need to express ourselves and move our bodies to keep energy moving, we also need to keep our homes fresh and clear.
Hey you amazing design/art/color/fun lovers! Just a quick note to say: if you have sent me an email about being featured on my blog, I received it and I think you're awesome. I love seeing all of the cool colorful things creatives from all around the world our creating.
I love working from home. I love all of the time and energy I save by not having a commute. I love that I get to spend the majority of my time surrounded by beautiful and functional spaces fit for my needs.
I started out this year with a random, big goal: I will travel every month in 2014. 12 trips total. There's lots of planning involved in that. And money is needed. But I didn't worry about the "how". I just said it will happen and believed it would.
But then I read this quote, and something shifted. Here's someone who is very successful with a whole bunch of cool stuff going on, and she wants to be remembered as someone who wasn't afraid to start. That's it. The starting part is hard. And it's important. And...
I like to do guided Deepak Chopra meditations. His voice is really calming and he always shares the most amazing little nuggets of wisdom. I suppose stopping to take notes during meditation is not really the point, but I do it anyways.

Hi. It's Sunday. It's Indian Summer here in San Francisco and it's hot. I chose to spend the day in my apartment, playing around with my website re-design and dreaming of cooler weather.
I just flew from San Francisco to London and did my favorite thing to do on planes: read + listen to music. Yes, at the same time. On the plane it's a highly enjoyable activity. At home, it's annoying (I'm not sure how that works). Anyways...
I was at a friends house the other day and the news was on. So much drama. It's sad. I get upset thinking about all the nasty thoughts they put into people's heads. All the fear. All the hate.
I don't think anyone will tell you this because it's not the kind of advice that people like to give. It took me a long time to except the sad truth.
I choose a passion. It's called my life. I am passionate about my life. And I put passion into everything I do. And if I don't enjoy it, I stop doing it.
