Still Can't Get Enough of Vintage Moroccan Rugs

Still Can't Get Enough of Vintage Moroccan Rugs

These rugs are just so absolutely amazing. I remember the first time I saw one in a cute little design shop in North Beach. It was an exciting moment and I stood for a while staring in amazement, wondering where it had been all of my life.

I still think about that rug. And slowly over the years I've been collecting/pinning beautiful images of vintage Moroccan rugs, still to this day in awe of their playful perfection. The colors, contrast, softness, quirky designs and most importantly the soul that is only possible with vintage goods... I'm obsessed.

I think this time my obsession is paralyzing me. I still have not purchased one for my own home. Even though they go so perfectly with my style and color scheme. Layering one or two or three (!) over my existing rugs would be a dream. But there are so many I love and it's been hard to pull the trigger.

This very last one at the bottom here might just make it into my home... I discovered it on Chairish this weekend and feel very drawn to it. It doesn't have the quirky irregular designs and bright pink that original drew me to these rugs, but I can totally see it in my living room, layered over my black and white striped rugs. I've been really into red again lately. And I like that the pattern is simple and imperfect.

I really really like all of the rugs in this post. I might just order all of them and have one in each room of my house. They go so well with my style it wouldn't be a terrible idea. I think I'd just smile all day long, walking around with the colorful beautiful and feeling their soft, vintage love under my feet.
